Siuri Nyadi Power Ltd.

Siuri Nyadi Power Private Limited was incorporated on 2071/05/06 (22/08/2014) and was converted to public limited company on 2074/04/04 (2017/07/19). The company comprises of a group of entrepreneurs with long term vision in hydroelectricity development in Nepal using ultramodern technology and dynamic management. Siuri Nyadi Power Limited (SNPL) will contribute 40.27 MW of electricity to support Nepal’s economic development while generating healthy financial returns on invested capital for its shareholders.

The project is named as “Super Nyadi Hydropower Project (SNHP)” which is located in Ward No. 6 (Bahundada) and Ward No 7 of (Bhulbhule) Marshyangdi Rural Municipality, Lamjung District. The Project Produces Electricity from Nyadi Khola in a Run of River (RoR) scheme. The Feasibility Study, Initial Environmental Examination IEE, Grid Connection Agreement, Detail Design for the Project are already completed. The Generation License from Department of Energy Development (DoED) was issued on 2074/05/14 (2017/08/30) and the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Nepal Electricity Authority was completed on 2074/02/19 (2017/06/02).

The company completed the financial closure agreement with 6 national level commercial banks of Nepal under the lead of NMB Bank Ltd. The consortium banks are Century Commercial Bank (Co-Lead), Nepal Credit & Commerce Bank Ltd., Prabhu Bank Ltd., Kumari Bank Ltd. & Mega Bank Nepal Ltd. The financial closure agreement was signed on 2074/11/30 (2018/03/14. The total project cost is estimated at Rs. 7,316 crores, out of which Rs. 5,239 crores will be managed by the consortium debt.

The project is awarded to High Himalaya-Dhaulagiri JV on Engineering, Procurement & Construction basis on 2076-07-27 (2019-11-13) who will complete the construction of the project within 42 months.

Project Location and Accessibility

 Super Nyadi Hydropower Project (40.27 MW) is located in Marsyangdi Gaupalika - 6, Lamjung district of Gandaki zone in Nepal. Nyadi Khola is a tributary of Marsyandgi Khola in Lamjung. Geographical coordinate of the project area is located between Longitudes 84030’18” E and 84026’57” E, Latitudes 28024’23” N and 28021’09” N.

The project site is connected to Kathmandu by motorable road via Dumre, Besishahar, Ngadi, Thulobesi Naiche and headworks of Nyadi Hydropower Project. The existing road ends at headworks of Nyadi Hydropower Project and therefore a road has to be constructed/maintained up to the intake site having length of total about 20 km for material and machine transport from the Naiche Village. Private land purchase Private land for Power house is purchased and some land is purchased for access road and little land is to be purchased.
Drawings and Reports Construction Drawings, BOQs, DBM, DBR and final DPR all are prepared completely.
Contract Award Contract is awarded to High Himalaya Dhaulagiri JV on EPC basis at 2076/07/27(13 November 2019).
After the contract award the contractor is working on access road, design optimization and mobilization for powerhouse access tunnel and adits.
